(The exceptions will of course be logical ones, all because of common sense or compliance reasons, but we’ll step through those before you sign our agreement, but please ask if you have any items that you think may be borderline.)
To make your storage experience as easy as possible, we provide the following related services.
- Packaging: We have cartons in 3 sizes available for purchase. We also offer a buy-back service so if you find you have purchased too many boxes (better than too little), we are able to take them off your hands for you.
- Packing tape and marking pens are also available for purchase.
- Carton Buy-back:For cartons that are in good condition once your storage term is completed, we may also buy these back from you**
- Checklist: When you book your own ‘MY STORAGE SHED’ we will happily provide you with our checklist of the items you should consider and attend to during the move-in process.
- Insurance – a good idea. As you’d expect we don’t actually do the insuring ourselves. Check with your current insurance provider as they may be able to offer a good price as an extension of either your ‘Home & Contents’ Policy, or, if it’s business-related, your insurers can probably arrange that for you. But, if they can’t or won’t help, give us a call and we’ll put you in touch with a local broker who should be able to help
HOW MUCH SPACE DO I NEED – STORAGE CALCULATOR
Our major tip here is always order 10-15% more space than you think you’ll need. You don’t want your goods and chattels jammed into the facility and difficult to manage. Murphy’s law loves playing it’s part in storage facilities and it’s inevitable that the one item you want to retrieve half way through your contract will be right at the bottom of the very back of your total pile, and it could become a day’s job for you to get into there, take everything else out and find the one box you are looking for, so please allow yourself some free space to let you manoeuvre in those circumstances.
